This page covers gethomepad.dev. Updated 2026-10-13.
The short version
We measure visits to this site so we can tell whether people find Homepad useful. That's all the data is for. It isn't sold or shared, there are no ads, and there's no third-party tracking.
What this site records
- Page analytics with Umami, which we host ourselves. It records the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser, OS, device type and country, and clicks on buttons such as "View on GitHub", "Try the live demo" and "Copy". Umami sets no cookies and doesn't store your IP address.
- Session replay, also with our own Umami. It records how the page is used (scrolling, clicks, mouse movement), for up to 5 minutes per visit, so we can see where the page confuses people. Anything typed into a form field is masked. Replays are deleted after 30 days.
- Hosting logs. The site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google), which keeps standard request logs, as any web host does.
The live demo
demo.gethomepad.dev is one shared account that anyone can use. Don't put anything personal in it. Its data is wiped every time the demo goes idle.
Homepad itself
Homepad, the software you install, sends nothing to us. No telemetry, no phoning home. Your dashboard, your accounts and your service list stay on your server.
Blocking it
Content blockers that block Umami work on this site and nothing breaks.
